Handicaps and grades

The World Handicap System is in use in 70 countries with more to come.

GOLF Link is the Australian national computerised handicapping service provided by Golf Australia (GA). To play in competitions every Member needs a GOLF Link number with a Golf Australia (GA) Handicap. To obtain a handicap, three cards need to be submitted for games played with a partner who already has a GOLF Link number. Each member is responsible for their own handicap and can access Golf Australia to ascertain current handicap prior to each competition. If you register your GOLF Link number with another Club, please advise the Captain.

Your current GA Handicap will be displayed on the OneGolf booking page. Your Daily Handicap will be applied once the Captain has registered everyone to play in the competition. Daily Handicaps will be displayed on the Club’s whiteboard in the Pro Shop.

Grades are organised by Daily Handicaps:

  • A GRADE:   0 – 29
  • B GRADE:  30 – 36
  • C GRADE:  37 – 45 (maximum)

The Committee has the right at all times to vary the Handicap Divisions according to entries received.
