{"id":4313,"date":"2023-09-22T07:32:09","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T21:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mentonegolfclub.com\/cms\/?p=4313"},"modified":"2023-09-22T19:42:41","modified_gmt":"2023-09-22T09:42:41","slug":"the-pink-hamper-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mentonegolfclub.com\/cms\/2023\/09\/22\/the-pink-hamper-story\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pink Hamper story"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From Marg Johnson<br>Framed by Linda Waters<br><br>A heart warming story of how a pink hamper box from Mentone Golf Club&#8217;s &#8216;Breast Cancer Charity Day&#8217; raffle found its way to the Dirranbandi Breast Cancer Support Group, some 1,300 kms away, to continue its journey in promoting the joy of giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:300px\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mentonegolfclub.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_1399-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mentonegolfclub.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_1399-rotated.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.mentonegolfclub.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_1399-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I<\/span> was preparing for my trip up the coast of Victoria, through NSW and to&nbsp; Queensland when I learnt that I had won a special hamper from the MGC Breast Cancer Charity Day raffle.&nbsp; What a wonderful surprise and I was overjoyed when the hamper was delivered to my home by Cathy Dixon.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The beautifully decorated pink hamper was filled with treasures that were full of fun which I decided I will share with some of my friends.&nbsp; I kept the \u2018<em>Looking Good\u2019<\/em> bath mat and coffee cup for myself.&nbsp; To the first friend, who had breast cancer, I gave a coffee cup, tea towel and chocolates.
