Roslyn Morris receives VGL Octogenarian Award

Ros joined Mentone Golf Club in 1989.
Ros served on the Committee in 2005 but was unable to continue due to family commitments.
Ros has been a loyal member of Mentone Golf Club, playing 18 holes regularly for the majority of that time and has now joined the 9-hole group of Ladies.   Ros was delighted to win the Life Members Trophy a few years back and personally contacted all the Life Members to thank them for donating this trophy. 

Our trips to Howlong have been on her agenda for many years where she has an active  participant in our Monday afternoon activities, modeling her roommates’ creations and impersonating a weightlifter in 2000 for the Olympic Games theme. And many more delightful costumes.
The highlight of her acting “career” came in 2017 when she played “ROCKY” at our Presentation Night although Ros wore oven mitts, not boxing gloves.  Ros has made many long-term friends in her 36 years at Mentone and we hope you continue to enjoy playing with us in the years to come.  We wish you a wonderful and happy 80th Birthday and year.
The VGL joins Mentone Golf Club in wishing Roslyn good health and good times with her golfing friends.
