Through the window wall overlooking an oval cast with encroaching evening shadows, a women’s football team practises.
At the opposite window a stash of trophies backlit by the early evening sun, wait to be presented.
This is ‘Sandy by the Bay’ on a perfect late spring evening. The venue for Mentone Golf Club’s 2023 Award Presentation Night that caps off a year of competition. This is an evening where outstanding accomplishments are highlighted and rewarded and where recipients’ personal milestones are set. And what a relaxed (helped by complimentary drink on arrival) and convivial evening it was!
