Each year, on a day in October, MGC members and their guests get together to promote fun and community while upholding MGC’s long standing tradition of supporting Inclusion Melbourne.
Started by founding members, Nancy Pike and Edna Coy, the club’s legacy of generosity continues. Over the years MGC have donated more than $189,000 to Inclusion Melbourne. Astonishing, from a club of only 100 or so members.
Inclusion Melbourne is Victoria’s oldest community support provider for people with intellectual disability. Based in Armadale and founded in the 1940s, with a mission to enable people with an intellectual disability to achieve and maintain a valued quality of life. On 12th of October, Charity Golf Day 2023 will be held at Keysborough Golf Club, 55 Hutton Rd, Keysborough, Vic 3173. It promises to be a day of competitive enjoyment where teams of 4 play against each other in Irish Stableford format. Prizes will be awarded for winning teams, nearest the pin and straightest drive. Fundraising activities will include a silent auction, raffles, hampers, mulligans and a putting competition (cash purchase).
On the day:
- Registration and coffee prior 7:15am
- Player briefing 7:45am
- Stableford shotgun start at 8am
A seated lunch will follow play.
- 18 Holes + Lunch $90
- 9 Holes + Lunch $70
- Lunch only $35
