Christmas Breakup at Keysborough – 8 December 2022

Posted on: 10 December

It’s been a hugely successful wrap-up of 2022, with joyful humour and some very good golf at the stunning Keysborough Golf Course.

It was lovely to see so many golfers at our Christmas break up at Keysborough, including a few faces we haven’t seen lately.  We played 9 holes with only a few drops of rain, though at times the wind was fresh and cold.  Summer in Melbourne!

Viv Bolch, Vicky Pincombe, Anne Keogh and Robyn Metcalfe won the golf, with Heather Greet, Jenny Smith, Helen Cornish and Viv Sprosen runners up.

Some lucky ladies won hampers and other prizes, and Helen Hanily, Jenny Addison, Sue Simpson and Megan Crosser won the Christmas cheer dress up prize, just defeating a very spirited chorus of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Thanks to Keysborough Golf Club for hosting us again!

A message from President Lynda Doutch summing up what was a very festive day at Keysborough:-

“Our Christmas Break Up  was held at Keysborough on Thursday 8 th December
and we managed to (mostly) dodge the rain and finally play golf ! The format
of 9 holes Ambrose seemed to be enjoyed by all, and lent itself to a relaxed
and fun day.
We had 78 members attend the lunch after golf, and it was very pleasing to
see so many in one place , and also to see a few members we had not seen for
some time, notably Sharon Walsh, Lyn Bampfield, Leona Aitken and Verona
Pirani.
The Club and committee members put together a  free Christmas Hamper raffle
and the main prize was won by a very happy Lucille Forbes.”
